Microsoft today launched its flagship suite of software products, MS Office for iPad including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. In an event which was held at San Francisco, General manager of Microsoft Office, Julia White announced what is said to be the most awaited set of apps on the App store. The apps are more powerful on the tablet than on the smartphones. The apps lets the users save the files on the iPad itself or on their OneDrive (Microsoft’s free cloud storage service), giving users an option to seamlessly be able to access the files on any of their devices.
The apps are available for free download on App store and the users can view the documents, spreadsheets and powepoint presentations but editing the same requires paid subscription to Office 365. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella said that the Office 365 will be made available across all the devices meaning all phones, tablets, smartphones, web & PCs and also on all the platforms.
